Jerri Blank to take over Amy’s Believer column

From Believer magazine:

Hello, friends of SEDARATIVES:

As many of you know, Amy has been on sabbatical from her column-writing duties over these past few months. Though she will remain on vacation for the time being, she’s just announced an exciting replacement for the summer.

For our June/July and August issues, Jerri Blank will be taking over as guest columnist for Sedaratives. Would you mind passing along another annoucement for us? We’re looking for letters about prostitution, the prom, STDs, incest, personal hygiene, and anything else that a woman of Jerri’s background might feasibly be able to answer. As usual, letters can be sent by email to sedaratives@believermag.com, or by snail mail to SEDARATIVES, 826 Valencia, San Francisco, CA 94110.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Amy at Book Expo

There aren’t many opportunities to see Amy, Barack Obama and John Updike together, but the 2006 DC Book Expo will have them all on Saturday, May 20, 2006. Admission is $30. Amy will be promoting her soon-to-be-released book I Like You.

Check here for more details.

IMPORTANT: According to the registration page: “Please note: BookExpo America is for the book publishing trade only and is not a public event. Be prepared to provide business card or company invoice.” Thanks, Crafty Beaver.

And thanks to Spunky Li’l Sheila for the heads-up about the event. If you work for a publisher, you’re in business. If not, well, sorry.
