Amy baking for charity

From the New York Post’s “Page Six” column on Nov. 3, 2003: “COMIC actress and playwright
Amy Sedaris has a third calling: baking, which she indulges when the mood strikes. It had better
strike hard on Nov. 18, when Amy will bake more than 400 cupcakes for a “strolling supper” to
benefit Joan’s Legacy: The Joan Scarangello Foundation to Conquer Lung Cancer at ABC’s
Times Square studios. Sedaris, known for funky attire, plans to wear a gown custom-made from
aprons. Scarangello, a non-smoker who died of lung cancer in 2001 at age 47, was head writer
for the “NBC Nightly News.” Expected are network news titans Tom Brokaw, Brian Williams,
Aaron Brown and Barbara Walters, as well as Grammy-winning blues man Delbert McClinton,
who’s contributing a signed guitar to the silent auction.” Go to the original or the cute photo.
