Amy returns to Alpha House

Amy Sedaris as Louise Laffer on Alpha House

You’ll be able to catch Amy Sedaris on Alpha House once again when season 2 is added to Amazon Prime on Friday, October 24! Amy will be returning to her recurring guest star role as Louise Laffer, wife of senator Louis Laffer. If you haven’t watched the first season yet, you still have time to catch up!

Amy on rabbits; returning to Alpha House and The Heart, She Holler

amy sedaris rabbit careOkay, I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I have a few updates, yay!

First, Amy shares lots of fantastic tips on rabbit care and what to consider about owning a pet rabbit in this new interview on style.com. I actually have my own ancient 13-14 year-old mini rex rabbit (who happens to have a recipe named after him in Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People), and yes, bunnies absolutely are the best pets. 🙂 And yeah, it’s true what she says–that rabbits will basically own you and destroy all your stuff, but you can’t help but to love ’em! Now, in totally unrelated news, Amy will be returning to two renewed shows! Amazon’s political comedy Alpha House was renewed for a second season, and Amy will once again be joining the cast–presumably reprising her role as a senator’s wife. Prime subscribers can watch the entire first season here (even though she was guest cast, Amy appeared in most epsiodes of season one).

Last but not least, Adult Swim renewed its gothic-horror-comedy/soap opera/mini series The Heart, She Holler for a third season. Amy originally joined the cast in 2013, taking over the role originally played by Kristen Schaal. She’ll be returning as Hurshe Heartshe–a sleazy, white trash woman who’s constantly plotting to take over the town.

Oh, and one more! If you missed them while they were in theaters… Amy has small parts in Chef and Ping-Pong Summer, both of which are coming to Blu-Ray/DVD next month, and they’re both really fun flicks. Check them out!

Amy Sedaris, Will Arnett voice BoJack Horseman on Netflix!

Amy Sedaris featured in BoJack Horseman on NetflixNetflix keeps getting better! A new animated Netflix original series, BoJack Horseman, will feature the voices of Will Arnett, Amy Sedaris and Aaron Paul. Wired.com describes the series, “Created by comedian and writer Raphael Bob-Waksberg, the 12-episode BoJack Horseman takes its name from Arnett’s character, an alcoholic former television star fallen on hard times who just happens to be a horse, who might have a shot at the big time again — assuming that he doesn’t screw it all up.” Amy will voice BoJack’s feline ex-girlfriend. The first season of BoJack Horseman is slated to premiere mid-2014.

In other news, Amy continues to guest star on Amazon’s new original series, Alpha House. At this point, I think it’s safe to assume that Amy will appear in most, if not all, of the remaining episodes this season. New episodes are added every Friday, and are available to Amazon Prime subscribers.

Amy Sedaris guest stars as Louise Laffer on the new Amazon original series Alpha House.

Amy Sedaris made her first of multiple special guest appearances on this week’s episode of Amazon’s new original series, Alpha House! The series, which stars John Goodman, revolves around four senators who work–and live–together in Washington, DC. Amy plays the role of Louise Laffer, wife of Senator Louis Laffer. Epiodes will be added on a weekly basis, and are currently only available to Amazon Prime subscribers. Today’s episode is #4 (out of ten total in the first season), and when asked how many episodes of Alpha House she did, Amy thought she might be in five or six. So, hopefully we’ll be seeing more of Amy in the majority of forthcoming episodes!

Amy to guest star on Amazon Studios’ “Alpha House”

Amy has signed on for a recurring guest star role on Amazon’s upcoming original series, Alpha House. The series, which stars John Goodman, follows four senators who live together in a rented house in Washington, DC. According to the Hollywood Reporter, “Sedaris will portray Louise Laffer, the sweet, concerned wife of Sen. Louis Laffer.” Alpha House will be available to stream later this year on Amazon Prime. If you are a Prime member, you can already add the first season to your watchlist and check out the pilot (from last spring).
